Introduction to Our Live Podcast
Hello, adventurers! As the Dungeon Master of Roll Britannia, I've had the privilege of guiding our crew through a plethora of shenanigans and crap cascades, and our recent live special episode at MCM Comic Con London was no exception. Set in the haunting "Whispering Warfs", our Halloween-themed adventure, "The Lost Treasure of Captain Michael Mickleton", was a typical mash of mayhem and monsters packed with dice rolls and laughter. From eerie ghost encounters to our signature British humour, the episode was a testament to our crew's creativity and the bond we share with our listeners.
MCM Comic Con London Overview
Honestly I'm still a bit stunned that we were given the opportunity to perform at MCM Comic Con London. Personally, I've never been to any Comic Cons before so for my first time to be not only one of the best Comic Cons in the world but also to be performing there, was just unbelievable.
It's a melting pot of pop culture, full of all kinds of fans, creators, and artists from all over the world. Amidst the sea of cosplayers, merchandise stalls, and panel discussions, we had the honour of hosting our live podcast. The energy was palpable, with fans eagerly awaiting our performance, and we were equally excited to share our latest adventure with them.
Meet the Roll Britannia Crew
Our crew is the heart and soul of Roll Britannia. Jeff, with his notorious bad luck with rolls, had the audience in splits with his antics. Despite starting the game with a natural 1, his spirit remained unbroken, making for some of the most memorable moments of the evening.
Derek, on the other hand, seemed to have the Midas touch, effortlessly navigating challenges and emerging unscathed. Together, their contrasting styles added a layer of unpredictability to the game, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats.
Memorable Moments from Our Podcasts
Every episode of Roll Britannia is a new journey, and over the last few years, we've created a treasure trove of memories. From cockwomble battles to Arrrgoose, our podcasts are a blend of adventure and comedy.
Our live episode at MCM Comic Con was a culmination of all these elements. A trap-filled alleyway, the deceptive mimic disguised as a treasure chest, and our interactions with characters like Peg Leg Pete added depth and dimension to our story, making it an unmissable live performance.
Details from Our Live Show
The atmosphere at MCM Comic Con London was electric, with fans from all walks of life coming together to celebrate their love for pop culture, the quality and quantity of cosplays at the show was mind blowing, I was absolutely stunned by the creativity and craft that has obviously gone into those cosplays (A personal favourite was the person who had come dressed as a vending machine!). With Critical Role in attendance this year there was a definite Dungeons and Dragons flavour to the show, and it was during a break in the Crit Role performances that our show took to the Haunted House stage! And if you missed out on this epic adventure, fret not! We're gearing up for a festive-themed live show at MCM Comic Con Birmingham in December. So, mark your calendars and join us for another unforgettable experience.
Engaging with Our Amazing Audience
One of the highlights of our live shows is the bond we share with our audience. Their energy, enthusiasm, and love for Roll Britannia fuel our passion, and giving the audience a say in the form of popular vote for borderline decisions never fails to make me laugh.
After the show we were lucky enough to be able to host a meet and greet with some exclusive merch available, and I was astonished how many people actually came to meet us, I am so grateful for every single one of the awesome people who came to see us (especially those who even came wearing our merch) and It was an absolute pleasure to be able to meet some of you in person and talk. Thank you all so much for taking the time to come and see us!
